Raptor vs Zombie

The Magma Raptors are a rare race of lizard-men that live near large volcanoes, underground in tunnels that follow the flow of magma. Getting their energy from intense heat, they sit in the bubbling magma, their skin being resistent to extremely high temperatures. Once they have heated up they leap into a frenzy and when fighting one of these creatures after being heated it is extremely suicidal. As their whole body is the temperature of magma, when they strike with their razor sharp, steaming talons they can rip through the strongest armour and thickest hide like butter.

This pic is my entry to the monthly competition at ~MustacheMonster. I drew it over the last few days (lol last minute again!) and it's taken about 4 or 5 hours in total I think... I drew the lines on paper and then shaded it in Photoshop. lol, I kinda used this to try out some Photoshop brushes I downloaded, I also used some star brushes, here they are if you wanna use them, they're really awesome! This was my first time using custom brushes, and I think I'll definately use em in the future. Anyway, hope you like the pic! I plan to colour it soon, and make the Raptor look hotter, after the gazillion other projects I have to finish...sigh...
