AMC Expo (Melbourne) - Table AA10 + Art News!

Hey guys and gals, in case you didn't catch me going on about it already, I'll be in Melbourne next for the Australian Movie & Comics Expo from October 17-18th. My table is AA10 in the Artist's Alley. It's especially cool as they've given me my own profile on their website which you can view from their home page here. I totally squealed when I first saw my little name there in amongst all the other Aussie artists and creators (shameful I know). So thanks AMC Expo! Hope to see you Melbourne people there!



The live demo workshop went really well in Sydney and Brisbane too. It was just so much fun to change up the convention day and be able to answer questions and try my hand at teaching. I've already put up the finals for it but will get the video to you guys soon. Thanks to everyone who watched and chipped in or asked a question, and huge thanks to the organisers and volunteers who helped out so much. One volunteer even sat there are recorded the whole hour long workshop on my phone for me. So thanks again!

Also will continue trying to catch up with INKTOBER when I return, it's been making me draw, try new mediums and post what I draw in my sketchbooks a lot more which I'm really liking. Just posting new art all the time really feels good and productive, even if it isn't the prettiest stuff (especially my kind of horror art) it's just great to get a lot of stuff done and out there. I'll be experimenting with much messier ink work too which I'm looking forward - and it's just really therapeutic to draw everyday. I've got a lot of bigger paintings too and it's getting me motivated to get those finished by the end of the year, so the more the merrier!

Alrighty, so my flight leaves in several hours so I should probably get back to last minute preparations and try and calm down from all the coffee I've drunk. Wish me luck!

There's a lot more videos on my YouTube channel recently, just put one up for Needle, The Cursed King, Conductor and The Unborn amongst others, so do check 'em out if you're waiting for more art. Ones coming soon will be MIKE, Zombie Ricky Gervais and some more old ones that I've found the raw footage for. I've also disabled ads on my channel as it wasn't really doing much and I'd rather not have to deal with them (although for the copyrighted songs that are used they do get ads on them with the monies going to the music creator). I'm looking into doing more crowd funding type projects next year so might be setting up my first Kickstarter or maybe a Patreon to get 'EXECUTION' and more volumes of 'My Shadows' done sooner rather than later. So with that will come more in depth videos and behind the scenes stuff for those who provide support, but I'll keep updating the YouTube channel too for lots more free content too when I can. Feel free to offer your thoughts on the whole thing - I'm really keen to know what you think so might be doing some more blog posts or polls in future too to get your thoughts on it.

Ok I better stop talking so much and work on the 'showing' aspect of it. As they say, you shouldn't talk about your goals so much (you should just do them!).
